Jagannathpur Probashi Shongo (JPS), Oldham is a community-focused, non-profit organisation dedicated to bringing people together, strengthening community connections and supporting positive development within our community.
Based in Oldham, JPS provides a platform for people with roots in Jagannathpur and the wider Bangladeshi community to come together, volunteer, share experiences and contribute to a stronger and more connected society.
Our motto, “Volunteers for a Better Community,” reflects our belief that positive change begins when people come together and give their time, skills and support for the benefit of others.
Our Vision
Our vision is to build a strong, inclusive and supportive community where everyone feels welcome, valued and able to contribute.
We want to encourage greater participation, volunteering and cooperation among community members while helping to create opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to connect, learn and support one another.
Our Mission
JPS aims to:
- Promote community cohesion and unity among residents of Oldham and the wider community.
- Encourage volunteering and active participation in community life.
