JPS Executive Committee Meeting
The Executive Committee of Jagannathpur Probashi Shongo (JPS) held a productive meeting last night to review preparations for the upcoming JPS Blackpool Community Wellbeing Day Trip and to discuss the organisation’s future plans.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Moudud Ahmed, Chairman of JPS, and conducted by Mr. Golam Moula Chowdhury (Nixon), General Secretary.
Committee members received updates on the final arrangements for the Blackpool trip, including event logistics, volunteer responsibilities and participant coordination to ensure a safe and enjoyable day for everyone attending.
A significant part of the meeting focused on JPS’s vision and activity plan for the next six months. Members discussed a range of community initiatives designed to promote wellbeing, reduce social isolation and strengthen community engagement. Proposed activities include regular Community Coffee Mornings, Mental Health & Wellbeing Awareness Sessions, a Senior Support Programme, Digital Skills Support, Volunteer Development, Health & Wellbeing activities, Family & Cultural Events, and developing community projects that will help secure grant funding for future services.
The meeting was very well attended, with Executive Committee members and volunteers actively participating in an open discussion and contributing valuable ideas and recommendations for the future of the organisation.
