About JPS
Jagannathpur Probashi Shongo (JPS) exists to support Oldham’s Bangladeshi diaspora — helping newcomers settle, keeping our Jagannathpur heritage alive, and giving every generation a place to belong. Our mission is to bring people together through volunteering, community projects, cultural activities, youth engagement, charity work and social events. Everything we do is guided by our core values: unity, service, cooperation and community development — and delivered entirely by unpaid volunteers.

JPS Summer Day Trip to Blackpool – A Great Success!

JPS Summer Day Trip to Blackpool was successfully held on 25 August 2026, bringing together members, volunteers and community participants for a wonderful day of friendship, enjoyment and community spirit.
The trip provided an opportunity for everyone to spend time together, strengthen community connections and create memorable experiences. We would like to sincerely thank all the volunteers, participants, supporters and everyone who worked hard behind the scenes to make the trip a success.
JPS would like to thank everyone who joined us and helped make this day special.

🚶 JPS Weekly Walking Group
Walk together. Stay active. Build friendships.
JPS has launched a weekly community walking group, bringing members and local community participants together for regular walks, friendly conversation and an opportunity to stay active and connected.
Our first walking session took place successfully on Sunday, 13 September 2026, and we will continue meeting every Sunday.
Everyone is welcome to join us. Whether you are a regular walker or simply want to get started, come along, meet others and enjoy a friendly community walk.
